Crichton Multi-Translator and Short-Range Transmitter
Inspired by a work of Pre-Rifts fiction and a very good showing of the furthest reaches of Last Chance's miniaturization capabilities. Within the confines of the wearers ear canal sits a minute piece of equipment that holds the ability to translate up to 6 pre-programmed languages (at 95% proficiency), as well as one of the smallest portable radios/receivers available without cybernetic implants. The range is limited by most standards and the relatively few languages that can be programmed are a few of the drawbacks but they are more than offset by the ease of wear, ease of concealment (+15% to Conceal), and relatively low cost of the "Crichton".
