Body Bag

It isn't known whether Diego Vega was born on Rifts Earth or if he was "Rifted" here by some unknown means. Nightbane are very rare on the ravaged Earth but not unheard of. Fortunately for Diego he found guidance and a surrogate family early on in life. Unfortunately a sadistic madman found him and his surrogate family is Last Chance. Ishmael Chance discovered a twelve year old Diego and took him in, instantly realizing his magical potential and superhuman nature. Diego was one of many children that lived in the tunnels of Madhaven, and was living out of a small gymnasium in the human tunnels. The gymnasium was home to a troop of "Professional Wrestlers" before the Rifts came named The Extremists. These fighters implemented insane fighting tactics and used odd household items as weapons of wars. Cheese graters and brooms were the norm and god forbid anyone got their hands on a folding chair or card table. Among the beaten remains of the gym's equipment was a collection of the fighters matches recorded on video disk and used as visual training tools for the other fighters. One wrestler above all caught the boy's attention. He was a deranged lunatic that wore a hockey mask and frequently carried barbed wire to the ring. The madman would wrap parts of himself in the wire and use his own body as a lethal weapon against his opponents. His name was Body Bag.
Diego watched every tape in the library, learning the moves and practicing them with the old training dummies. When Ishmael found him, he was struck by the child's devotion to his learning, as well as his discipline despite his violent nature. It seems that the tapes were Diego's only learning aid while growing and he just naturally assumed that everyone acted like the people on the discs. Ishmael offered the boy a chance to come with him to "the Island" where life was easier than in the tunnels, he could even bring his expansive library with him. After a little deliberation the boy took Ishmael up on his offer and four Junta Ro demons helped pack up the boys meager belongings and video library and spirited him off to the Rikers Island complex.
Chance began the boys training in magic and war almost immediately (in addition to some visits with Eschelon's Laboratory), promising the boy the opportunity to become the "greatest Wrestler on Earth, Ever." It was during one of these training sessions that Diego "Became" for the first time. He was in the middle of attempting a move called a "German Suplex" on one of the nine-foot tall demons under Chance's employment when his strength multiplied unnaturally and his body grew to match. The demon slammed into the ground so hard that it's neck was snapped like a twig and the new Diego stood before them, amazed at the transformation. He now stood before them as the reincarnation of Earth's greatest wrestler, Body Bag.
Since that day Body Bag, as he is now known, has become Chance's best student. He is at the end of his fourteen years of servitude and has already surpassed all expectations. He has also since abandoned his human façade altogether. On Rifts Earth there is little out of place with an eight foot tall monster, wrapped in barbed wire, with the strength of fifty juicers.

Disposition: Diego's lack of parents and substitute influences has certainly taken their toll on the monstrous young man. He is almost manic in his mood shifts as well as his shifting alliances. He is normally a "shooter" but is not above making a "heel turn" that keeps things interesting. He will never back down from a confrontation unless he is forcibly removed from it (look at those attributes before trying it). He is completely without mercy in any fight and will always look to cripple or kill his opposition but a good maiming is a work of art to be carefully cultivated and appreciated afterward. (If you want a good example of what he acts like, tune into TNN at 8pm on Friday nights and keep an eye out for guys like Sabu or the Sandman.)

Natural Abilities: As is common among all Nightbane, nightvision 500 feet (152m) or 200 (61m) feet in façade, sense Nightbane 450 feet (137m), Immune to ALL forms of mind control, cannot be transformed by any means, and bio-regenerate 10 M.D.C. per melee round. He also posses the standard abilities of the Temporal Warrior O.C.C. like automatically senses the opening and closing of dimensional rifts within a 20 mile radius, automatically sense the opening and closing of dimensional rifts, envelopes, mystic portals, dimensional teleportation, and time holes within a half mile (0.8km); and ley line phasing.
Magical Knowledge: Diego knows the following temporal and common spells as well as Nightbane talents; D-Phase, D-shift two dimensions, Wink out, Dimensional pockets, see dimensional anomolies, time warp: fast forward, slow motion, S-dep, T-dep, dimensional envelope, attune object to owner, remote viewing, retro-viewing, time warp: age, Time warp: send, globe of daylght, tongues, see the invisible, sense magic, detect concealment, fool's gold, chameleon, escape, time slip, shadow meld, befuddle, and armor of ithan. Nightbane talents include Lightning rider, Shadow blast, shadow shield, air grab, premonition, shadow slide, and doorway.

Combat Skills: Hand to Hand: Martial arts plus wrestling, boxing, and kickboxing. In his façade he possesses H2H: Wrestling. The Morphus form automatically recieves the Martial Arts combat skill.

Weapons of Note: Body Bag prefers bare handed combat above all else but he does carry a small arsenal with him at all times. Because of his training with temporal magic it is possible for him to carry large amounts of weapons and ammunition in dimensional pockets and envelopes disguised as a duffel bag he carries regularly. His favorites are a magic mace that inflicts 5D6M.D. (In addition to his supernatural punch damage) a L.C.A. Adder assault rifle, Viper Shotgun (with flechette rounds), Venom Special Pistol, and H.G.L (Heavy Grenade Launcher).
Armor and Equipment: Like his weapons, Diego prefers to not rely on much equipment to his own abilities. He carries only basic survival gear in his bag but always wears his most prized possession. Upon his completion of servitude, Chance presented him with a large leather and gold "Championship" belt. It is interwoven with many jewels and other precious metals with the saying, "Extreme Beyond Reprieve." In reality it's a large P.P.E. medallion with a reserve of 200 p.p.e. points that regenerate at a rate of 1D6 per minute.
Skills of Note: Diego is well versed in martial skills and hand to hand combat. Possesses sniper, boxing, kickboxing, general athletics, all modern weapon proficiencies, W.P. blunt, demolitions 85%, prowl 65%, and pick locks 65%. His greatest area of interest is Professional Wrestling. Given opportunity, he will sit for hours and tell stories recounting every major wrestler of the time before Rifts as well as spout statistics like a computer. Above all else he knows the moves. He prides himself on knowing how to perform every finishing move known to man, his favorite being the "Rolling German Suplex"; his namesake's preferred finisher.
Description: An giant sized monster (Alien Shape: Hulking Monster) covered with intermittent dark blue metal bands (Bio-Mechanical: Metal Exoskeleton), with a metal skull for a head (Unusual Facial Features: Skull Face), dressed in a black sleeveless "EXTREME" T-shirt, black and gray plaid knee length shorts, and black and white hi-top sneakers. In a subconscious tribute to his idol, his morphus has barbed wire wrapped around his knuckles, elbows, knees, crossing his chest, and around his neck (Stigmata: Barbed Wire). These wounds never heal and constantly drip blood. Still despite his great size he moves with a deliberate grace and unnerving power.
